Camp FUNdamentals-Legacy Equestrian August (Ages 7-12)

Camp FUNdamentals is an animal-assisted camp for kids of ALL abilities held outdoors on the grounds of Arrowhead Arena/Legacy Equestrian in Maple Lake. The goal of camp is to practice new skills, learn about horses and most of all, have FUN outside in nature with new friends.

Supported by occupational therapist Alycia from FUNdamentals in Nature, campers will have fun with nature-based social games, group and individual art, healthy movement, snack preparation and life skills to promote positive social interactions with peers, increased self regulation and fine and gross skills.

Campers will learn about grooming and care of both full size and miniature horses (and a bunny!) with the expertise of Melissa Beaudry of Legacy Equestrian. Campers will have the opportunity to help with feeding, grooming, bathing, walking the horses and riding if desired.

This camp is designed for kids that love horses that need a boost in their motor, social, and self regulation skills!

Note: this camp will be held entirely outdoors, rain or shine! Use of a covered barn will be used as needed in the event of inclement weather. Campers will make a snack together during camp or can bring their own personal snack.  

Note: the barn has an indoor toilet. PCA’s/parents are allowed to attend if 1:1 support is needed to participate in the group setting.

Note: camp purchases are non refundable but I’m happy to work with you on switching your registration to another horse camp week if needed. Please reach out to me via email if this is the case for you!
