Camp-Wood Lake Nature Center (Ages 8-12)

Camp FUN-damentals is a place for kids of ALL abilities to have fun in nature while practicing new skills, supported by pediatric occupational therapist Alycia! 

Camp includes two days of camp=EIGHT hours of therapeutic activities that include structured motor skills and social skills games as well as time for practicing creativity, fine motor and sensory skills with natural materials. Think: FUN activities that help support their goals! Campers will also get the chance to practice life skills including making a snack together. Self-regulation and social skills development will be supported through learning about emotions, perspective taking with peers, and exploring coping tools outdoors. Campers will bring an activity home each day to practice at home.

Note: Camp will occur rain or shine, please come dressed for the weather. PCA’s/parents are allowed if 1:1 support is needed. Note: this camp is designed with kids with special needs in mind but is inclusive for all kids wanting to explore nature with new friends.
